There are not many musicians who have played the guitar with a hammer or a laser gun...
but Ryan Kershaw is one of them!
Obsessed with rock music from a young age, the Cork based musician formed his own band at 12 years old. By the time he was 17 he had already recorded the psychedelic ‘Drowning In The Ice’ and played at a music festival broadcast around the world. The rest of his story reads like a movie, though it’s far from being fiction. A New Zealand karate champion in his teens, Ryan was asked to train under a Grand Master in Japan, but declined in order to focus on music – going on to become the first ever solo act to be a finalist in his countries Battle of the Bands competition and recording the classic NZ underground e.p ‘Little Green Dragon’. After losing it all to a mix of the Rock N Roll lifestyle and a highly creative brain uncomfortable in the spotlight, Ryan turned his life around and wrote the groundbreaking book 'Use Your Buzz To Play The Guitar.'
